Sunpeaks Band Festival
Sunday night, just got back from an endless 5-hour-bus ride, I’m super super tired, I can barely move my hands! and my eyes are just too tired! my back aches like crazy… I’m plannin of goin to bed early tonight and not goin to school tomorrow to take some good rest… I’ve been sick since thursday and trust me, goin on an overnight-field trip being sick is NO FUN at all… (atleast thats what I thought but continue reading)
Sunpeaks was great, I had fun despite my wrong-timing sickness… (I got sick the day before the whole sunpeaks thingy) GRRrGrr… and oww boi, i think it went worst when we get there since it was all snowy and cold. Funnie funnnie thing is that I had the “smallest” luggage out of the bunch… ow yhea… I didnt get to bring that much stuff since I know we were just gona be there for 3 days and 2 nights… but hey, twas heavy… super heavy that I culd hardly carry it and later gave me a soring back!…
Travelling has never been my first choice, like I’d rather stay home and do stuff than travel… I often get motion sickness thats why… but travelling with a bunch of kids your age is a whole different thing… much FUN-er, more exciting, and cooler maybehhh! we were laughin, talking, chitchats, watchin movies (Zoolander, and Moulin Rouge), doin everything just to ease our boredom, afterall, travelling for 5 hours can be really tiring! however, I felt like sleeping but I tried not to, sceneries were amazingly wonderfull and I wanted to get a click of them on my camera which luckily i did.
We get there (Sunpeaks) on time, like what had been planned… a ”Hotel-guy” climb up on our bus and hand in our keycards… the things was i didnt know who my roommates were so I didnt know where to get my keycard from! *again, stupid me* and since I’m a percussionist, I was tasked by the teacher (Ms. Rickman) to take care of the percusion’s trolly so I had to frekin drag it into the hotel with all my fading strength… and btw it wasnt that fair since there are 3 other percussionist but why me?!… luckily, flute people (sam and michelle) helped me out! Sam (flute soloist) grab the other side of the trolly and started pushing it forward so I wuldnt need to pull it that hard… the damn trolly was heavy and Ms.Rickman wanted it to be kept in my room which I still dont know where!
so then I asked Sam who his room mates were and he said “Steve, and Philip”.. every room supose to have 4 people and I kinah have a feeling that hes gona be my roomate since I saw his name on the sign up sheet but I wasnt that sure which Sam since we have like 4 Sams in our band. So i told em they suppose to have 4 ppl. then he asked Steve who else is suppose to be in their roomh and guess wut… t’was MEE!
Movin on, i got my keycard which is pretty dope.. and like what Ms.Rickman told me, the percusion’s trolly shuld stay in my room and my roomates had no problem bout that so we juz put the stuff in the room and quickly unpacked our stuff… the room was great, nice and neat.. not wut I expected tho… (I thought it would be more fancy). We’ve got the Premier room which is quite big actually, approximate 383 square feet and its got
